I was out in Tucson, Arizona, for a trade show, and at the end of the show had just enough time for this short hike within the city limits of Tucson, about a 5 minutes drive from downtown. I had climbed this mountain last year, and I had noticed a different trail skirting higher up the mountain which I decided I would try in the future. This was my opportunity to do that. I parked in the parking area on the road leading up to Sentinel Peak at the bottom parking area, and climbed on the trail that goes parallel to the road. At the top, I took the trail on the Western side, which then goes along the eastern slope of Tumamoc Hill. The trail eventually goes down and meets up with the first trail, making a nice but short loop.
