This is a two car hike up and down a quiet area of the Ramapo escarpment. It affords very good views and is a good climb. We parked at the Tuxedo-Mt Ivy Trailhead on Diltzes Road, and took the trail up, passing the power lines and climbing upwards on Lime Kiln Mountain. At the top of the ridge we reached the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail, and took the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail along the top of the ridge, to the top of Panther Mountain, which affords and excellent view of the valley below. We then continued down the mountain along the Pine Trail to the equestrian center, where we had our other car parked.
