New Years was on a Friday this year, and I took some time out for a short hike. The weather was seasonally cold, and it was cloudy and windy. I parked on Call Hollow Road, and took the Long Path across the Horse Chock brook over a small cascade, then up the side of the mountain. I took the trail to Old Turnpike, down to First Reservoir, and then crossed the dam and outlet. I then took Woodtown road at the paved section which is a service road to the reservoir. I took this back to Call Hollow Road where I was parked.
